Simple tips to create a static front page in WordPress

How to create a Static Front Page in WordPress which contains a few posts that is considered important so that position remain in the website home page and not shifted by posting a new one. By default, the front page shows the latest post, and displays generally last 10 posts.
If you are using wordpress version 3 and above, it is very easy to do. Here are the steps:
  1. Determining the posts that are considered important to be made static (static post in front page)
  2. Login to wordpress go to wordpress dashboard
  3. Then go to the post, and edit the postings that have been selected in step 1
  4. On right area there is an option of publishing then click Edit on menu Visibility
  5. Write a check in the box that says stick this post to the front page
  6. Then click update, finish. postings are to be static on the front page
